How to reach the catalogue project
We value thoughtful correspondence from readers. Whether you have noticed an error in a title or author listing, found a category that seems misapplied, encountered a file that will not open or displays poorly on your device, or wish to raise a question about privacy, copyright, or rights, we invite you to write to the catalogue project.
All messages should be directed to editor@auels.com. This is the only verified editorial address for the Public Domain Literature Library. We do not operate a telephone line, postal address, or web contact form, and we cannot guarantee a specific response time, but every message is read with care.
What to include in your message
To help us investigate and respond efficiently, please include as many of the following details as are relevant to your report:
- The exact page URL where the issue appears.
- The full title of the ebook and, if known, the author name as displayed.
- The file format you are using (for example, EPUB, PDF, MOBI, or HTML).
- The device, browser, or reading application you were using when the problem occurred.
- A clear description of the observed problem: mis-spelling, missing text, garbled characters, broken links, inability to download, or any other reading failure.
- For accessibility concerns, please describe the assistive technology or settings you rely on, and what behaviour you expected.
- If your message relates to copyright or rights, please provide any supporting information you hold, such as details of the edition or source you believe may be affected.
Types of feedback we welcome
We are especially grateful for reports in these areas:
- Metadata corrections – incorrect title, author, publication date, or category placement. For example, if a book listed under “Fantasy Juvenile Worlds” seems better suited to another category, or if the author’s name is misspelled.
- File quality – unreadable text, missing illustrations, broken table of contents, or formatting that does not render correctly on a particular device.
- Accessibility – problems with screen-reader compatibility, colour contrast, or navigation that prevents you from using the catalogue comfortably.
- Privacy questions – any concern about how your data is handled when you browse or download books.
- Copyright or rights concerns – if you believe a work in the catalogue may not be in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights that you believe have been overlooked.
- General editorial observations – thoughts on the reading companions, edition notes, or contextual essays that accompany titles such as Louie's married life — Context and Discussion or The crooked cross — Edition Insights. We welcome suggestions for improvements or corrections.
Our editorial approach
